Dr. Samuel Ferris received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1992. He completed an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, followed by a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Tulane. _x000D_ Prior to coming to Ochsner, Dr. Ferris worked in private practice in the Houston and New Orleans metro areas. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiology.
